Chimira Animals

When I see nature's exquisite beauty, my soul wonders why there are those who want to bioengineer ANYTHING.  I can't wrap my head around this epidemic of rampant stupidity and evil.

Chimera Peacock.
Chimeraism is a condition that occurs when two fertilized eggs fuse together to create one organism with two different sets of DNA. Different genes from each set of DNA may be expressed in different areas, creating a further condition called mosaicism. There is no definite conclusion as to whether this peacock is a chimera or whether it is exhibiting a form of genetic co-dominance; however, either way it’s an astonishing image!

Venus the Two-Faced Chimera Cat

The colors of Venus the cat’s face is genetically split in two, one side is black fur with a green eye and the other is ginger calico with a blue eye. Venus’ unique look is caused by chimerism and her eyes are different colors because of a genetic condition called heterochromia. Venus has her own Facebook page and her human companion has uploaded a couple of videos of her special two-faced kitty (1, 2).
