The Public Fool System (a CORPORATION)

Our government is just another CORPORATION (and so is the entire public school system).

I have a question. Maybe it has been addressed before. We just opted our child out of common core testing and when faced w/ a very slight hesitation from principal, part of our reply was this.
"According to the U.S. Constitution, specifically the 14th Amendment, we are protected by our rights to religious/spiritual freedom and this federal law supersedes state in regards to parental control over one's child. Under this very law, you cannot deny this refusal. AND In Meyer, the Supreme Court held that the right of parents to raise their children free from unreasonable state interferences is one of the unwritten “liberties” protected by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. (262 U.S. 399). In recognition of both the right and responsibility of parents to control their children’s education, the Court has stated, “It is cardinal with us that the custody, care and nurture of the child reside first in the parents, whose primary function and freedom include preparation for the obligations the State can neither supply nor hinder.” (Prince v.Massachusetts, 321 U.S. 158)"
Why isn't anyone in California being held to these standards or sued for being in violation when it comes to medical freedoms? Confusing?

"We are students of words: we are shut up in schools, and colleges, and recitation rooms, for ten or fifteen years, and come out at last with a bag of wind, a memory of words, and do not know a thing."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

"To a very great degree, school is a place where children learn to be stupid." - John Holt (April 14, 1923 – September 14, 1985) was an American author and educator, a proponent of homeschooling or unschooling, and a pioneer in youth rights theory.

"We destroy the love of learning in children, which is so strong when they are small, by encouraging and compelling them to work for petty and contemptible rewards, gold stars, or papers marked 100 and tacked to the wall, or A's on report cards, or honor rolls, or dean's lists, or Phi Beta Kappa keys, in short, for the ignoble satisfaction of feeling that they are better than someone else." - John Holt

" A child whose life is full of the threat and fear of punishment is locked into babyhood. There is no way for him to grow up, to learn to take responsibility for his life and acts. Most important of all, we should not assume that having to yield to the threat of our superior force is good for the child's character. It is never good for anyone's character." - John Holt

" School is about learning to wait your turn, however long it takes to come, if ever. And how to submit with a show of enthusiasm to the judgment of strangers, even if they are wrong, even if your enthusiasm is phony." -John Taylor Gatto

"School is a twelve-year jail sentence where bad habits are the only curriculum truly learned. I teach school and win awards doing it. I should know."
- John Taylor Gatto, Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling

" It is time that we squarely face the fact that institutional schoolteaching is destructive to children." - John Taylor Gatto

" Our form of compulsory schooling is an invention of the State of Massachusetts around 1850. It was resisted — sometimes with guns — by an estimated eighty percent of the Massachusetts population, the last outpost in Barnstable on Cape Cod not surrendering its children until the 1880s, when the area was seized by militia and children marched to school under guard."
-John Taylor Gatto

Fact.. for apx 200 years we have had the same dumbing down obedient drone building system that built the Hitler Youth.. Prussian education.. Google John Taylor Gatto

"Children learn what they live. Put kids in a class and they will live out their lives in an invisible cage, isolated from their chance at community; interrupt kids with bells and horns all the time and they will learn that nothing is important or worth finishing; ridicule them and they will retreat from human association; shame them and they will find a hundred ways to get even. The habits taught in large-scale organizations are deadly."
- John Taylor Gatto
