His parents stated they received a “disturbing” text from him 24 hours before his disappearance (something they reported to the police). Police believe Ann Boroch was murdered

Despite the official ruling that she took her own life, detectives within the LA Police Department believe that the young doctor was murdered in a "professional" hit.

"We're looking at this as a homicide", said a police source.

"The crime scene was too perfect. It looks more like she was 'suicided' that took her own life."

"At first glance, the way she was found, it looked like she killed herself, but you look at the whole picture, and this isn't your typical suicide."

"Whoever did this, knew what they were doing. It was definitely 'professional'."

According to the LAPD, attempts have been made to launch a murder investigation into Ann Boroch's death, but the case was "shut down from above".

I found out 24 hours ago, just hours after Dr. Mike died, but didn’t report on it immediately out of respect to the family. However, I did speak directly to his staff today because I wanted to absolutely confirm the story (as I have with every one of the 70+ deaths that have occurred in the last two years) and now that they are speaking about it, I wanted to share it with you.

I don't know if he died naturally or not as I wasn't there. I'd say at this point- every holistic doctor who dies (this one at about 61 yrs old) who does not have a super long term illness is suspicious.....

On Friday, July 28, at around 5:45 a.m., a well known holistic Manhattan doctor (who loved his family and was a regular volunteer including a first responder at 9/11) and his wife allegedly jumped to their deaths leaving separate and typed suicide notes, in securely sealed ziplock baggies, in their pockets. Merck made a "hit list" of doctors who criticized Vioxx, according to testimony in a Vioxx class action case in Australia. The list, emailed between Merck employees, contained doctors' names with the labels "neutralise," "neutralised" or "discredit" next to them.

According to The Australian, Merck emails from 1999 showed company execs complaining about doctors who disliked using Vioxx. One email said:

We may need to seek them out and destroy them where they live ...

The plaintiffs' lawyer gave this assessment:

It gives you the dark side of the use of key opinion leaders and thought leaders ... if (they) say things you don't like to hear, you have to neutralise them ... It does suggest a certain culture within the organisation about how to deal with your opponents and those who disagree with you.

The Australian:

The court was told that James Fries, professor of medicine atStanford University, wrote to the then Merck head Ray Gilmartinin October 2000 to complain about the treatment of some of his researchers who had criticised the drug.

"Even worse were allegations of Merck damage control by intimidation," he wrote, ... "This has happened to at least eight (clinical) investigators ... I suppose I was mildly threatened myself but I never have spoken or written on these issues."

The allegations come on the heels of revelations that Merck created a fake medical journal -- the Australasian Journal of Bone and Joint Medicine -- in which to publish studies about Vioxx; had pop songs commissioned about Vioxx to inspire its staff, and paid ghostwriters to draft articles about the drug.

It appears he was an award winning expert motorcycle builder, experienced rider, and wearing a helmet, so his tragic sudden death has left many in utter shock.
