A little more about what supplements for particular conditions or what one wants to improve their health.

Some are up on ingredients and some are still missing it. Some of the brands recommended still had stuff in them that should be avoided.  Especially cellulose! That stuff is bad. No kidding about that one. Tony Pantalleresco aka HerbsPlusBeadWorks has the detailed info on that.

Lab Rescue & The Shelter System

Today I went to the shelter to take photos for Lab Rescue of three labs needing rescue. Yes three! And as I walked past a kennel I saw this.

This is what happens when people bring their dog to a shelter and leave them. This guy yesterday morning woke up happy on a couch or in a warm bed, waiting to be fed, hopped in the car thinking he was going to the park or if it was a bad day he was going to the Vet. Instead he went to a place where there are 275 dogs barking to be freed, it smells like death, and doors are banging shut all the time. Animals walk by and never return. And he has no idea his fate. All he knows is he didn't ask to be here. He didn't even ask to be born to irresponsible owners. But today he lays frozen in fear, in a puddle of his own urine. Afraid to move, afraid to make eye contact, thinking just maybe he can fade away into this wall. Because if he does no one will see him and just maybe he can escape whatever fate waits for him. This is the reality of irresponsible pet ownership and the shelter system. This is not a shelter issue, this is not a rescue issue. This is irresponsible pet ownership. Own it people!!

This dog is going to rescue tomorrow. There are 275 who matter just as much as for their fate, I have no answer. #adopt

Breezy wasn't in the shelter, but was a stray who wandered upon our porch.  When I saw that beautiful black kitteh, we fed and housed that beautiful baby.  We fell in love and kept Breezy out of the shelter system.

Another startling discovery, as to why Breezy's belly went down and never got bigger, and upon closer inspection found out that Breezy is a boy and has already been fixed.  It was a huge relief, but still begs the question as to why someone would dump a perfectly good fixed cat out in the country. Yes, Breezy is very playful like a younger cat, but Miracle has totally accepted the new addition to the family and deals with it.  He was upset at first, but now looks around the house for Breezy when he can't see him, because he is digging the company.

Other antiinflammatory benefits involve reduction or modulation of cyclooxygenase (COX) activity, bradykinin, and inflammatory cytokines.

Cellulose listed twice.  Once as part of the capsule and other part of the mix, plus the silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent), and the other stuff is simply UNNEEDED.

Arthur Andrew Medical is much better.  And with the same benefits. Because at least the cellulose is only limited to just the veggie caps and those can be changed out.

Other Ingredients: 100% Vegetarian Capsule (Gellan Gum, Cellulose, Water)
* Wendy's product recommendation is much better, as the Cellulose is only limited to the vegetarian capsule. So this product is savable and can be re-encapsulated into a gelatin cap.

But they're right on at the fact the proteolytic enzymes is the key to putting out the inflammation and reducing the pain. Just have to watch the companies and their formulations.

Tumeric, curcumin and ginger are actual foods to help decrease inflammation as well, and we actually blend those in water to add to smoothies, in water, or whatever.  The ginger blended tastes real good in the Earl Grey black tea, which is also sometimes mixed with sage tea and/or the detox teas.

The main thing is watch out for are the companies and read the labels and watch out for "Other Ingredients" which are never needed.

The above commentary is in no way meant to undermine this speaker or any of the other speakers, in any way, as they probably haven't researched cellulose or some of the ingredients. However, the recommendation of proteolytic enzymes for pain and inflammation is spot on.
