Prayers are needed and appreciated for this family and all the other families (pets included)  who need help and protection.  Thank you!

They all have been in my prayers since finding out about this yesterday.

Our Father, We pray for protection and blessings for this family of boys, all the other families in the area. We also pray protection over the kittehs and all their pets, and that the animals (including wild animals!) are all rescued, safe and fed.  We call down ALL of Heaven to move in their favor for protection, safety and all blessings.  We ask that the remaining homes be spared.

Kissy's Kats:. Okay... We're ALL Working Together to Save An Injured Kitten

I want to help my daughter and some of her co-workers to save this baby kitten with two broken back legs.  Neither one of us want to see the kitten put down, so it was my idea and my daughter agrees to raise money to help pay for the $1,500 surgery that this kitten needs.





We have a little kitten at work that my heart is breaking for. It's a stray that a client found. The kittens back legs are broke. Both femurs. The lady doesn't wanna spend a lot of $ because she just found it. I'm order to help it, it needs extensive surgery which the lady can't afford. If I didn't have so many cats and had the money, I'd totally take her. She will probably end up being put to sleep which completely breaks my heart.

Good News!  Since we are all working together in raising money for the kitten's surgery, she will be spared.  Yay!

She called her Kitterz. But the animal rescue co-worker there is also helping and opened up a funding site and has re-named her Sprite.

Who the hell died and left them in charge anyway?  Who gave them the right to kill off God's precious creatures?  Who?

I would like for God to smite these animal killers and bring all these shelter businesses to complete and utter ruin.

They'll make it to Heaven alot easier than humans will, that's for sure.

We never planned to get another cat, but he showed up, so we fed him and kept him.  There was no way we were going to give him to an animal shelter.  And he also came to us already neutered, so we didn't have to.  Having a second cat is extra work, but we're so glad we were able to save this one. He and Miracle get along better now too.

Lab Rescue & The Shelter System

Today I went to the shelter to take photos for Lab Rescue of three labs needing rescue. Yes three! And as I walked past a kennel I saw this.

This is what happens when people bring their dog to a shelter and leave them. This guy yesterday morning woke up happy on a couch or in a warm bed, waiting to be fed, hopped in the car thinking he was going to the park or if it was a bad day he was going to the Vet. Instead he went to a place where there are 275 dogs barking to be freed, it smells like death, and doors are banging shut all the time. Animals walk by and never return. And he has no idea his fate. All he knows is he didn't ask to be here. He didn't even ask to be born to irresponsible owners. But today he lays frozen in fear, in a puddle of his own urine. Afraid to move, afraid to make eye contact, thinking just maybe he can fade away into this wall. Because if he does no one will see him and just maybe he can escape whatever fate waits for him. This is the reality of irresponsible pet ownership and the shelter system. This is not a shelter issue, this is not a rescue issue. This is irresponsible pet ownership. Own it people!!

This dog is going to rescue tomorrow. There are 275 who matter just as much as for their fate, I have no answer. #adopt

Breezy wasn't in the shelter, but was a stray who wandered upon our porch.  When I saw that beautiful black kitteh, we fed and housed that beautiful baby.  We fell in love and kept Breezy out of the shelter system.

Another startling discovery, as to why Breezy's belly went down and never got bigger, and upon closer inspection found out that Breezy is a boy and has already been fixed.  It was a huge relief, but still begs the question as to why someone would dump a perfectly good fixed cat out in the country. Yes, Breezy is very playful like a younger cat, but Miracle has totally accepted the new addition to the family and deals with it.  He was upset at first, but now looks around the house for Breezy when he can't see him, because he is digging the company.

Animal Shelter Business Rant

Killing animals because they wind up in shelters is no excuse to kill them.  NEVER!

WHO the hell decided this BS to begin with? I mean, who died and left them to play God to begin with?  WHO?!!

Mark my word, people who participate in this or condone this directly or indirectly, HAVE to answer for that. It's bad enough to hit one while driving a car, etc..., mishandling, or any other accident, but ON PURPOSE? Especially when one should know better?

This is why I share these pictures of pets in shelters on here, on Cheezburger, blogs, Google+, etc... to make up for the lack of compassion in the general population.

Anyone can think whatever they want of me, I could care less, as I'm not addicted to the outcome, but I have zero tolerance of this ongoing murder of our pets.

So why our history of ignorance, why our dismissal of them as "just a dog" or "just a cat or whatever"? Most pin partial blame on the Bible.

So, what did God mean for man to do when he said in Genesis 1:26 man should take dominion over all the animals? God’s command to “subdue” the earth and the animal life in it is a command to have the “mastery” over all of it. A true mastery (of anything) can never be accomplished without an understanding of the thing mastered. In order for a musician to master the violin, he or she must truly understand the instrument. In order for mankind to attain mastery over the animal kingdom, we must understand the animals. When God gave humanity dominion over the animals, it was in order to care for, and tend to them.

Genesis was originally written in Hebrew, and since every translation involves interpretation, we do well to ask about that English word, "dominion." (Some translations read "rule over," instead.) In biblical Hebrew, the word indeed supposes a hierarchy -- someone in a position of power exercises this quality over inferiors. So "rule over" or "have dominion" is actually quite accurate. However, its interpretation as the right to exploit and despoil is not.

Otherwords... QUIT KILLING OUR INNOCENT ANIMALS! STAY OUT OF OUR NEIGHBORHOODS with the animal control vans picking up our pets, just to to make a few bucks from them. So many people's pets have disappeared into the "money making shelter system". That little cat picked up, was a little girl's best friend, or that dog picked up was a little boy's companion. We LOVE our pets! They are part of our families.

And to those that disregard them as trash as just another dog or cat, and taking them to a shelter because they got big, or too much are simply STUPID, IGNORANT and IRRESPONSIBLE and should have their asses kicked to kingdom come.

These creatures have feelings and emotions too. They feel joy, happiness, sadness, fear, etc...

And LOVE!  Yes, they feel LOVE too.  THINK about that for awhile. We must ban this killing once for all.

This is Cane Corso. Cane began to cry when the shelter staff took him back to be Euthanized (the nice word for KILL). By the grace of GOD Canes tears touched the hearts of the staff that day and he was allowed to LIVE! Shortly after this day Cane Corso was adopted. Cane was one lucky dog. Cane is not a unique dog. They ALL CRY! They ALL have hearts and feelings. They all want to LIVE! Nearly FOUR MILLION dogs and cats are scheduled to die across country this year, and the next year, and the next. KILLING animals is WRONG! KILLING animals IS NOT the ANSWER to controlling pet population. The answer is OPENING our MINDS and HEARTS to believing that there is another solution. The answer is the NO KILL EQUATION. When County governments work along side their citizens and implement the NO KILL EQUATION the community prospers as a whole. THOUSANDS of Shelters across America are working this program with GREAT SUCCESS. It is a PROVEN SYSTEM. Citrus county is NOT a No Kill Shelter. It needs to become one now! Please get involved.
