Instrument Cluster Repair – 2003-2006 5.3L Chevy Silverado (Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, etc.)

Okay, so we went to get this fixed and/or replaced, and the gentleman at the car repair place quoted us $500. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS?!!! Are you kidding me?!  For that piece of plastic stuff? So we asked and inquired about a used one from a junkyard or discarded vehicle. And then came home to look up this thing and perhaps find a used one online at eBay, etc... and see if they can be taken apart and repaired. Well, found some videos on how to repair this thing, because we do NOT have $500 just lying around, you know.

Well, we PARTIALLY fixed it. The indicator lights come back on now. However, the speedometer and gas gage still aren't working. The other gage on the top far right works. So now what? We need to know what speed we are going so we don't get pulled over by the Po po, and need to know how much gas is in the tank at any given time.

So we STILL have to save up partial amount of $$$ to even get this used refurbished one...

And in addition, we need to move and get out of Fridgia here. We are raising $$$$ for that too. Please consider supporting our blog here, so we can continue with the much needed info, plus do what we have to do to stay safe too. We here are already very stressed.
