What Myxedema Looks Like

One of the many types of “Hardening of the Body” as I coined it.

This is Dr. Lugol’s before and after picture after using his iodine.
Lugol’s Iodine is a special mixture of two types. It cleanses out our lymphatic system apparently reducing swelling in the head.

This is another example of the resolution of the puffiness (myxedema) following proper treatment of hypothyroidism with desiccated thyroid, according to the JCrows website.
https://jcrows.com/hypothyroidism.html

Jean Guillaume Auguste Lugol
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Guillaume_Auguste_Lugol

That is a very HUGE difference.  I can see this buildup on people very easily.  My daughter has low hypothyroid and she has the swelling and puffiness now.

One of my sisters has the puffiness too.  I have no idea if she is taking any meds or supplements.

And another sister takes the synthetic Synthroid, but doesn't have the puffiness that I can tell.  She does supplements too, so that may be why.  But Synthroid (synthetic T4) can NOT convert to the active T3.

Adult man with the "obese form" of hypothyroidism. Note the striking resolution of his puffiness (myxedema) after treatment with desiccated thyroid. Myxedema is the medical term for hypothyroidism. Myx is the Greek word for mucin, which accumulates in hypothyroidism. Edema means swelling.

This looks like some serious anti-aging before and afters.
Other before and afters are shown on this page...
https://jcrows.com/hypothyroidism.html

The way I do it with NO prescriptions, is take the Lugol's iodine, and co-factors.  I take the Jimmy Pitticus brand called 3rdi.

eBay is where to get it.  https://ebay.to/2GCJGUB

There are other co-factors needed, like selenium (helps in T4 to T3 conversion).  L-Tyrosine (amino acid) needed for production of T4.  Copper and zinc, which I get in the Wallach Youngevity Beyond Tangy Tangerine, as an all around multi-vitamin and colloidal minerals.  Vitamin C, as in Sodium Ascorbate (NutriBiotics brand), and the NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine), which is known to dissolve and shift myxedema mucin deposits.

I had the puffy arms with the extraneous tissue on the arms, as seen in the video on one of my other posts  My arms are no longer puffy due to the Lugol's, NAC, L-Tyrosine, and selenium, etc.. as mentioned above.  Also, the serrapeptase helps as it helps dissolve amyloid plaque, fibrosis, hardened fibrin (defensive action), eat up scar tissue, decrease inflammation, and is a great way to decrease pain.  I have to take 2-4 for the relief. Also beating the crap out myself with the Fascia Blaster also helps to break up the stuff and some lbs and inches have been lost due to all of this. Still have to step up the copper and zinc more, because the skin is still bouncing back from the lost stuff and lost inches.

Face was never so bad, puffy-wise, but every little bit helps and include the NCR cranial adjustments to help set things aright.

After Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. No apparent puffiness.
Gotta love that NCR forehead! :D
Age: just turned 61! Still a work-in-progress!
And SUPER BRIGHT sun!

The NAC and L-Tyrosine are from BulkSupplements company, as they are free of added excipients and cellulose, etc...  I order in bulk powder and gelatin capsules, when I can get the gel capsule option.  The NAC in gelatin capsules goes very quickly, so they are mostly out of stock on that one.  But they have the loose powder version, which can be encapsulated, and the gel caps can also be found elsewhere online.  I re-encapsulate the Arthur Andrew Medical serrapeptase into the gelatin capsules myself, since I prefer to skip the icky cellulose polymerized "veggie" caps, which has no vegetables in them whatsoever.  Apparently, I have to do most stuff the hard way.  Sigh.

I'm doing the Lugol's as part of the Steve Beddingfield F.I.R.M. protocol anyway.
FIRM protocol-
Fenbendazole
Iodine
Reishi
Magnesium
Also Azo yeast control has been incorporated into protocol so it’s FIRMA now, but I digress.

I only have to get more of the Fibro-Ease for the hardened fibrin, to address it from the offensive, as in prevention from the offensive action.  All the other anti-hardening stuff, we already have.

* NAC and Lugol's for Myxedema
* Benfotiamine for AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products).  AGEs are the result of glycation (the bonding of a sugar molecule to a protein or lipid molecule without enzymatic regulation.), so one must never mix protein and glucose.  And what do people do?  Eat a protein meal and have a sweet dessert right after.
* Serrapeptase for hardened fibrin and fibrosis, inflammation, pain, etc... Defensive action.

Also, while we are on sugar, I would like to add that sugar will cause a similar buildup of stuff too.  Check out William Dufty author of the book called Sugar Blues.  His before was "puffy" look too.  Reduction of AGEs obviously from eliminating sugar.

The "After" is after he gave up sugar.

The grains will also cause blood sugar spikes, so we avoid those too.

They are:  Wheat, Barley, Rye, Oats, Rice, and Corn.

We have to watch out for hidden sugar, as in HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup), and many others.  I like the Youngevity product called SweetEZE, which has the ceylon cinnamon, gynemma sylvestre, bitter melon, chromium, and vanadium to keep blood sugar from rising.  We eat regular fruit like apples, pears, bananas, grapefruit, oranges, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, kiwi, etc...  There is a little bit of the organic hot chocolate put in the coffee occasionally, and I also be sure to add the Cassia (cinnamon) essential oil drops in it too.

Iodine for Health - Life Enthusiast - Alternative Health

Thyrodine: https://www.life-enthusiast.com/shop/transderma-thyrodine/?ref=55

A full functioning thyroid system is very important in heart health too. We prefer and use this iodine brand.  Sometimes Lugol's is used, if in a pinch.

However, it is important to use iodine with selenium and L-Tyrosine. Using it along with a full vitamin and colloidal mineral supplement is the best.

And keep in mind the Adrenals can also be fatigued. Diabetes can also be present along with hypothyroidism. The Adrenal Reset Summit talked about this.

Thyrodine: https://www.life-enthusiast.com/shop/transderma-thyrodine/?ref=55

Selenium in bulk:  BIOSEL 5000 L-SELENOMETHIONINE - 1-800-282-3982 or email info@parchem.com!

https://www.parchem.com/getpdf-BioSel-5000-L-Selenomethionine-000626.aspx

L-Tyrosine (in bulk and gelatin capsules):  gel caps: http://amzn.to/2gzY95K or bulk powder: http://amzn.to/2gk1Ido

Best to buy in bulk, due to the ongoing contamination and compromised fancy supplements companies, because in one way or another, all have compromised on some products, and some products may be okay.

7 Reasons Your Thyroid Medication Isn’t Working

7 Reasons Your Thyroid Medication Isn’t Working

I'm going to take EACH Reason and add my own commentary to them.  My own daughter is going through this, and plus I've done these.  So this is what I know, thus far...

Keep in mind that we are ALL different.  So what works for me, may work different for someone else, so be sure to check with YOUR OWN ALTERNATIVE provider, at what may be needed for your own body.

1. You have undiagnosed Hashimoto's disease.
You must remove the man made trash forced into us via vaccines (like mercury and aluminum), GMOs, chemtrails, Halogens like fluoride, chlorine, bromine (See Iodine And The Halogen Revolution).  However, avoid all of Vickery's products now, because they allowed the formula to be changed and added excipients and Cellulose to the mix.

Organic Sulfur, sourced from Patrick McGean's Cellular Matrix Study will move out the trash. Doctor Brice E. Vickery's Platinum Plus Amino Acids used to move out the trash, as they, too, contain sulfur, and also contain L-Tyrosine, which is needed to make T4.
But Vickery allowed his formula to become corrupted with excipients and cellulose/microcrystalline cellulose which is also TRASH (Ahem!).  So I can no longer recommend those.  Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP) is still a good clean formula, except they don't contain the sulfur.  So we can get the NAC separately to make up for that one.  And also L-Tyrosine from PureBulk company. MAP is also great for vegans. It's also on Amazon, if preferred.

Where is the sulfur? Search when thyroid issue began being medicated. The sulfur was removed with the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers in 1954 in the US. None of our study members are off of thyroid support but they are symptom free, especially of the side effects to the synthetics.
Got sulfur? ~Patrick McGean

Taking iodine containing Sea Minerals are helpful.
EPX Sea Veggies Daily. Be sure to change out the "veggie capsules" to BSE-Free Bovine gelatin capsules, due to nano-tech polymerized cellulose/hypromellose caps, which are far from ever being a veggie. The mix appears to be fine.

The Atomic Iodine (recommended by Edgar Cayce)
aka Nascent Iodine.  See Thyrodine Here and Nascent Iodine
I prefer Lugol's personally.  I get 5% Lugols with Selenium from 3rdi Store.

The reason their synthetic thyroid don’t work: it has no iodine.
https://messiahmews.blogspot.com/2019/01/iodine-forbidden-nutrient.html

Organic and clean food, such as Kale, Kelp, Dulse, Dandelion, etc...  Have dandelions in your yard?  Pick them, clean them and EAT THEM!

2. You have lowered thyroid receptor sensitivity.
The Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Thyroid Axis.

3. You have poor thyroid hormone conversion.
Inability to convert T4 to T3.  Essential Amino Acids, especially L-Tyrosine, which is in the Platinum Plus Amino Acids by Doctor Brice E. Vickery.  Well Lo and behold!  They also contain SULFUR! And they used to rebuild the spine!  They were great for back pain and Fibromyalgia.
*However, Vickery allowed his supplement to be formulated by outside companies and they have corrupted his products with fillers and cellulose!  I can no longer recommend his products due to that.  Sorry.  So we can get the same amino acids from PureBulk and/or Bulk Supplements and build the same formula.

Biotics Research Meda-Stim used to help with the conversion, but it, too, has become contaminated with cellulose. Taking selenium is also helpful in conversion.
We get it now in the 3rdi iodine from Jimmy Pitticus at https://ebay.to/2GCJGUB
The original Meda-Stim supplement blend originally had a great smell. But we avoid cellulose, so no longer support that company.  However, when I used to open the bottle, it was like aromatherapy.  Some herbs actually smell pretty good.

Taking a full spectrum of minerals would be most helpful, since most diseases are a result of a mineral deficiency.  Tangy Tangerine by Youngevity is sufficient.  I also like IntraMax and IntraMIN by Drucker Labs.
While the IntraMax contains the B-12 Methylcobalamin, they also added some cynanocobalamin to the mix.  Just thought I would put this warning on there, so you all can decide whether you want to buy or not.  Adding a separate Methylcobalamin B-12 would be a great idea, if deciding to buy the Max version.  B-12 from Bio-Alternatives is a good one.  At least it would offset it.  Personally, we would prefer to just get the IntraMIN and go with the Youngevity Tangy Tangerine.  IntraMIN has not been changed.

Another overlooked important this is the LIVER.  Yes!  The Liver must be in tip top shape, as the conversion of T4 to T3 happens there.  A liver/gallbladder flush is a must.  It's gross, but must be done.  Do a colon cleanse first, and then do the flush.  Plus liver support.  Detox tea by EPX is a good one to begin with.  The organic sulfur helps with regeneration of the liver, as well as moving out the trash of man.  Good digestion period is also a must.  Digestive enzymes such as Cellfood are good.  Systemic Enzymes such as Fibrenza, (or from Vaccination Liberation here) and perhaps along with a stand alone Serrapeptase, are also liver cleansing.  They also clean the excess fibrin in the blood.  Keep in mind that synthetic Synthroid prescription of choice can not convert to T3, because it is a synthetic T4.  That's where people mess up and get discouraged.  Plus the systemic protealytic enzymes also dissolve ADHESIONS and SCAR TISSUE.

See Wilson's Thyroid Syndrome and Royal Rife site of Thyroid Conditions, which mentions many of the same supplements.  However, they still recommend BioticsResearch/Standard Process, and they have long since become contaminated with cellulose.  Everyone will have to search out alternatives.

We must be clean in order to function at an optimal level. The following cleanses should be done for best results...

* Removal of heavy metals and chemicals.  Via the organic sulfur and LL's Magnetic Clay Baths and/or zeolite clay.  Easy on the zeolite liquid stuff.  It's only a short term solution.  The Clay Baths are long term, and better.

* Parasite cleanse ala Hulda Clark

* Candida Cleanse

* Colon Cleanse:  3 Day Cleanse or Blessed Herbs Colon Cleanse.

* Kidney Cleanse.

* Liver/Gallbladder flush.  Can still do the flush even without a gallbladder, since the stones are made in the liver.  The gallbladder is simply a storage for the bile, which are clumped calcified and/or cholesterol stones.
See Sensible Health's website that explains how all of this works, regarding liver function and cleansing, herbs, etc...  They have some wonderful herbal extracts for Liver Qi Congestion.

Just found out about the RemedyLink's line of suppositories to detox liver/kidneys, heavy metals, lymphatics, and more!

Hormone imbalances from all the environmental and man made trash.  Environmental estrogens are hormone wreckers. (throw out all the plastic and other dioxin-containing products).  Even mainstream toilet paper is full of dioxins. 7th Generation has dioxin-free paper and hygiene products.  Dump lamestream dairy, which the cows are injected with genetically engineered bovine growth hormone.  Like that ice cream, do ya?  Switch to a coconut ice cream.  Coconut Bliss has some great tasting ice cream, if you must have it.  Go easy, because any sugar can also mess up hormones.

And then you have birth control pills, which also mess up the delicate hormonal balance. AVOID Soy!  It's also GMO.

4. You have high reverse T3 levels.
That comes from stress.  Probably also have high cortisol levels as well.  Cortisol-Ease by Elijah Free helps to ease that, plus perhaps taking some DHEA by BulkSupplements or PureBulk. Also, check the Wilson Thyroid Syndrome site.  They use their own supplemental medications and also a time release T3 made up by a compounding pharmacy.  I did the compounded T3, until the alternative doc that prescribed it for me, died a few years ago.  He would send it from out of state.  RIP Roy.

5. You have stressed brain-thyroid communication.
Again the Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Thyroid Axis.

The original Wilson's Syndrome provider put me on Drenamin by Standard Process.  My adrenals were also needing help in rebuilding, so that, in addition to to the DHEA by Biotics Research, which he didn't suggest the DHEA, but, I did that on my own.  I used off and on the Mannatech's Plus supplement, which nourishes the adrenals to produce it's own hormones.  The Cortisol-Ease mentioned in above paragraphs addresses the excess cortisol that results from stress.  I was also put on Standard Process Simplex F (female formula) and the Biotics Reseach Cytozyme-PT/HPT.  I can no longer support or use Mannatech, BioticsResearch and Standard Process, because both companies added cellulose to their products.  So I can no longer recommend them period. Bur originally when I was first put on them, they all were fine at the time.

Vitamin B-12 (METHYLCOBALAMIN) and other B vitamins are important for energy and nerve rebuilding.  Notice when your nerves are shot, and when you take B-12, you feel better?  Well then....

Many believe that chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and hypothyroid are the same, because the symptoms are THE SAME!  Hmmmm...

Always overlooked is the structure.  Anyone with a thyroid condition of any kind always have the C7 and T1 out of alignment, and those two are usually stuck forward with the Facet joints STUCK OPEN. The capsular ligaments could be stretched and lax too. Meningeal adhesions and compression, etc...

See Dowagers Hump Fix by Eric Dalton.  http://erikdalton.com/a-fly-by-on-the-dreaded-dowagers-hump/

The Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) corrects the STUCK FORWARD vertebrae as those are the PBPs (Primary Bio-mechanical Pathologies)

Also, diabetics (type 2) have their T7 vertebrae misaligned as well. Which is usually STUCK FORWARD.

I would presume all the other nutrients we're lacking is due to nerves supply being blocked or cut off so it doesn't reach that particular organ. We need to do whatever we can to help our body to heal. Rather than solely relying on meds. ~Lili Leong

Others are doing the Starecta protocol.  I have not done it yet, due to my situation with my teeth, but I have friends who are doing it and succeeding in straightening themselves up.  ABC is doable for me, so that's what I've been doing.  Getting rid of meningeal adhesions and meningeal compression is important for those who are suffering fatigue.  So it's structural and hormonal.

I'm trying starecta to help my brother's thyroid. The structural aspect that dietician & drs often ignore. I'm also thinking meningeal release to the neck might help restore communication of nervous system ~Lili Leong

I used TransD Tropin for while, but it got expensive.  Also, a couple of years ago, the damn FDA (Fucking Death Administration) banned it.  See my other blog on here. http://transdtropinhgh.blogspot.com/

6. You have a selenium deficiency.
A MUST HAVE for the conversion of T4 to T3.  Eating alot of raw onions to get it from food, and supplement with BioTic Research Selenium liquid supplement. Also Youngevity, has a selenium supplement too.  BioticsResearch selenium has preservatives but no cellulose.  But, I now prefer 3rdi Iodine, the 5% with selenium.

7. Your medication contains gluten.
GET OFF THE DAMN GRAINS!  That's Wheat which is GMO and a Eugenics project. It's not the Biblical wheat, or what our ancestors ate.

Okay, about wheat and these other damn "whole grains"... When a piece of whole grain bread spikes someone's blood glucose to 170, there's something seriously wrong. Hell, even a freaking snickers bar barely puts some people over 150 at 1-hour and 2-hour postprandial.  You won't see blood glucose go above 130 on paleo/primal/raw organic foods. I'm not diabetic, thank God, but I totally understand all the research given and it's very clear that microvascular damage begins to occur at blood glucose levels >140. Not to mention the un-felt downstream effects of glycation (which, by the way increases as the blood glucose level increases). We're talking oxidized LDL particles, downregulated nitric oxide activity, increased vascular permeability, and increased prothrombotic properties of the vessel walls. That, folks, is a recipe for heart disease. So, those of you that want to defend wheat and these other GMO whole grains, go right ahead, but there is NO Science to secure any arguments. And don't even get me started on high fructose corn syrup (GMO) and mainstream dairy that is full of genetically engineered (GMO) bovine growth hormones.

Cardio4Life will help with the microcirculation as the l-arginine helps with vasodilation, and the nitric oxide regulation.  It also contains Methylcobalamin B-12.

We also sat through a 2-hour presentation by Dr. Joel Wallach of Youngevity, as he explained alot of this.

Get off all grains, wheat, oats, rye and barley.  See Wheat Belly Blog.
All these damn grains, which also causes the blood sugar to rise, more than sugar itself, and also causes SYSTEMIC INFLAMMATION.

You can make and/or buy Paleo bread, which is from coconut flour and/or almond flour.

Giving up grains was the best thing we've ever done for our health.  My husband dropped weight, when we stopped buying anything with grains in it. Same with Dairy.  I've always hated white puke (aka milk).

But we can still have our cake and eat it too, with the alternative flours (rice, almond, and coconut) and dairy alternatives. The severe stomach pains came to a screeching halt after dumping the mainstream shit.  Now, we can also tolerate raw goat cheese.  But it's not a staple that we have often.

I have to have my raw organic veggie mix and/or salad every day, with always a liberal serving or raw onions (hello selenium!).

Now it's up to her to follow this and try these things out, as have worked for me.

Note:  I haven't done them all at one time, but at various times, the different things, as things change, doctors die, monies decrease, etc...  But we do what we can, and that's all anyone can do.

Addendum:

I didn't even get into all the energy aspects of this.  Such as the electrical system (acupuncture/accupressure) meridian system, Chinese acupuncture, and the chakra system.  The electrical system ala synergistic kinesiology (relfe.net), which include the Gait, hyoids, and Cloacals.  See Stephanie Relfe's site on Kinesiology.

And also the etheric body can have its own energetic blockages like etheric sludge and clinkers on spinal cord and various organs.  See:  The Etheric Torch by Cbswork on Whale.to for more info on that.

Etheric Laser Wand
Originally termed .357 wand, the etheric laser wand produces an etheric flame similar in shape to a cutting torch.
Used by many to clear clinkers, energy blockages and cords from the subtle bodies.
Designed to be as a reed into the ethers.

Original Made by Ben Morton...

I'll gladly give the recipe for the original design :) This is simple but please make it correctly. I can not endorse any design other than the design CBs Told me to maintain. So here it is:
a clockwise copper-coiled wrapped single terminated (preferably of Arkansas origin) quartz crystal approximately 3/4 of an inch in length.. this wrap comes up the crystal to the point and fans out about a half an inch into a clockwise funnel.. with wide end facing the eventual nozle of the ELW.
pour an inch of resin into the base of mold.
add approximately 3/4 teaspoon ov brass metal shavings to resin.
add the wrapped quartz crystal and stand it upright deep in the mixture of metal so that it is not falling over. add enough resin to just cover the crystal. let harden. add an sbb coil (direction of placement is of no concern in this) let the coil rest flat and add enough resin to cover the sbb coil. let harden. wrap 20 gdge copper wire 3-5 clockwise turns around a magic marker ink pen or other similarly sized cylinder, then use needlenose pliers to Finely shape the top of the coil 1/3 the way in toward the middle of the coil. reposition the needlenose pliers and pull the wire end down into the center of the magic marker sized coil- to the bottom or very near the bottom of the inside center of the coil. then make a 1/8th to 1/4 inch U bend and direct the coil wire straight up 2 & 1/2 inches.. pause,
Now, before later ;) add your minerals onto the wire, in this order:
peridot, topaz (i used blue), and amethyst) these rest in or on the U in the center of the magic marker size coil... ok, back to the ELW coil...

we now have approximately 2 and a half inches of straight copper extending above our larger clockwise coiled base that extends up to where the inverted double C loop is (top of the ELW coil unit)
continue the straight copper length about an inch and a half; remembering to keep this straight and lined up with the lower straight segment below the double C loop. this upper length of the wire will end up somewhat centered in the brass tube (of approx. 3/4 inch to 1 inch length) that ends up on top of the ELW. Residing Inside that brass tube, lives an emerald green emerald. Don't forget it or you don't have an ELW- you'll only have a torch. Suggested reading is about the healing properties of emerald. just informational, in this regard. onward and upward in this design, we now have our ELW coil finished, sitting nicely pointing up on the table without assistance (it doesn't fall over) you can fit 30 together in the middle of the table without them falling over. its a pretty sight :) please make them correctly :D
next we cutout a nickel sized piece of brass thin enough to bend with fingers but still stiff. brass, not copper. now cut that in half and trim only 1 of those half rounds about an 1/8th inch smaller than the other half. trim from the flat side of the half circle so when you place theme back together in the ELW you wind up with a kinda off-center slit between the two pieces of brass (where the ELW coil will come up between and preferably touching only 1 of those half circle flat pieces of brass.
Next in the pouring, set the finished ELW coil into the mold so it rests pretty much centered on the sbb coil (now slightly covered by hardened resin) just above the crystal that is now also hardened in metal/resin)
..remember to keep the ELW coil looking pretty as it was when finished on the table top. can you tell i've seen enough not so pretty ELW coils floating around the web? :) You still have the best that I've seen hun :)
ok, now we have an ELW set and ready to pour the middle 1/2.
pre-heated (with a blowdrier) resin works nicely as it conditions the resin to be quite viscous and won't disrupt your fine setting of the ELW coil too much during pouring. pour the resin to about 1/8 - 1/4 inch above the double C loop toward the top of the ELW coil. let harden.
you should now have approximately 3 inches of poured and hardened resin in the nearly completed ELW before finishing these last 3-4 pours. yes :) it takes that many pours in these finishing steps to get it to turnout correctly.
on top of the hardened resin that you now have in the mold, pour just enough resin to set the flat pieces of brass into and still have just enough resin in the layer to cover the flat brass half rounds (that you've centered in correct proximity to the ELW coil top). let harden and it is crucial to have it harden level, as level as possible.
it works best to interupt the hardening process just before the resin sets permanently (in this layer) and place the brass tube (nozzle) centered in the mold and preferably, with the ELW coil wire centered in the brass tube.
interrupt the hardening process correctly and it saves you 1 pour in the final stages of production because you won't need to pour 3 drops of resin into the brass tube to seal it ( if the bottom of the brass tube isn't sealed before filling the tube with resin, it will run out the bottom of the brass tube and fill up around the outside of the brass tube.) thus leaving you with a cylindrical encapsulated ELW. ouch, not after all your hard work. seal the inside of the brass tube with enough resin :)
after your brass tube has been babysat and is now somewhat solid and sealed, add your emerald bit into the brass pipe so it rests alongside the upper extension of the ELW coil wire.
try to have the ELW coil wire end extend at least 3/4 the way through the brass tube length. its ok if the coil comes to just below the brass tube end.
Now, with emerald in place, inside of brass tube sealed, and the flat brass half circles already covered in hardened resin; now is the second to last pour. :)
pour the center of the brass tube full of resin, a dome of liquid resin resting in the top of the ELW nozzle will be a lot nicer on the skin than a sharp edge, so use a stir stick to put every last drop of resin in the tube as it will hold. then go ahead and pour the last 3/8ths inch of resin to the outside of the nozzle. that's the last pour unless something happens and you aren't satisfied with the nozzle. if it doesn't come out correctly, no problem just add the ELW to the inside base of your CB pipe because it will burn the heck out of the sludge your CB is clearing from your environment. and start over on the ELW :)
Its a simple design but do it correctly. I've seen so many designs and people dropping my name on their designs. You've stuck to the design best, so I'm here with correct instructions. I've been ignored by the other guys who make another design, put my and CB's name on it and market them as the Improved ELW.
Much respect hun :) Thank you for your great work on so many fronts.
If you wish to fight back on another level just add a phenacite above the emerald. simple enough :)
or I'll be happy to keep you in fine supply of ELWs. either way
the perfect mold is a plastic double ended round toothbrush travel case with 1 single drop of peanut oil dropped into the first layer of resin (the metal layer).

4 Things You Can Do To Support Thyroid Health

29th July 2015

By Dr. Edward F. Group

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

The thyroid is responsible for secreting hormones and keeping your energy levels right where they should be; basically, it acts as the “leader” of the endocrine system. So, it goes without saying, if you keep your thyroid healthy, your body will thank you. But, remember the thyroid is vulnerable to environmental toxins like BPA and pesticides, among other nasties.

How Do You Know When You Need More Iodine?

Here is the short list:
  • cold feet and hands, especially in the evening
  • lackluster hair, thinning, and brittle or dry
  • thinning eyebrows, especially the outer third
  • dry skin, especially on heels (cracking and splitting)
  • weight gain, or inability to lose weight even on starvation diet
  • chronic fatigue, low energy
  • sweet cravings, bread or starch or dessert cravings
The main function of Iodine is to balance your endocrine (hormone regulating) system -especially your thyroid gland – resulting in a greater ability to manage your emotional states. This is more obvious in women because of different hormonal dynamics.

Iodine’s secondary function is to regulate reproductive organs:

ovaries and breasts in women… prostate in men.

It seems like so many of my middle-aged girlfriends have a sluggish thyroid and they feel so very tired and easily gain weight – more so than what’s “normal” for middle-age.

Most see their doctor and get their thyroid tested, and everything comes back “normal, within range”. The problem is with the test! It does not measure results …

Iodine Deficiency is Common and Can Be Terribly Harmful!

You Do Not Get Enough Iodine…

Iodine is a trace mineral that is essential for normal growth and development. Seventy to 80% of iodine is found in the thyroid gland – in your neck. The rest is distributed throughout your body, particularly in ovaries (women), muscles, and blood.

Your thyroid gland is the only organ that stores significant quantities of iodine.

Your body produces NO iodine, so you must supplement (unless you are eating a lot of sea weed, and use more sea weed as compost on your vegetable garden).

In America, you cannot get enough iodine from your diet. It used to be added to bread but not anymore.  It’s added to salt, but the amount has been lowered over the years.

We know from clinical studies that few people have anywhere near enough iodine in their body for their thyroid to function optimally.

Three disturbing trends initiated in the 20th century made this collective deficiency inevitable:

1. The introduction of chlorine use in drinking water, in pools, and as a ubiquitous cleaning agent (Clorox, Lysol). Iodine is displaced or deactivated by chlorine, bromine and fluoride.
2.  Alteration of the Western diet that reduces natural food sources of iodine (sea weed, dulse, etc.)
3. Farming practices designed to increase crop yield, leading to reduced iodine content in many foods.

Naturally occurring iodine is found in kelp, dulse, nori, hijiki, wakame, arame, kombu and seafood.

Iodine Supplementation for Thyroid Health is Easy

Thyrodine

Non-toxic, Highly Absorbable and Effective

Help Balance Emotions

Regulate Reproductive Organs

This is nascent iodine, or detoxified atomic iodine, made to the specification introduced by Edgar Cayce.

Unlike the common Lugol’s solution of molecular iodine and potassium iodide, our atomic iodine is not toxic even at high dose.

Protects against damage from radiation, stress and aging.

Benefits of Iodine Supplementation with Thyrodine

Better energy management, endurance
Reduced joint and muscle pains
Improved elasticity of muscles and tendons
Faster healing and repair from injuries
More resilient immune system
Clearer thinking, less brain fog
More insulin sensitivity, better blood glucose management
Improved sweating mechanism for detoxification
Better elimination (no more constipation)
Decreased menstrual problems (PMS, mood swings)
Reduced body odors (vaginal, foot, underarm, etc.)
Lower chance of miscarriage, higher baby birth weights
Effective on ringworm and toenail fungus
Warmer hands and feet (thermo-regulation)

Adequate iodine intake will also result in much-improved muscular coordination, flexibility and strength, plus improved vision as the eye muscles lose their unwanted calcium that causes hardening and stiffness.

Iodine supplementation can also induce long term remission of auto-immune problems including Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue, Vitiligo, Myalgia, Migraine.

Protection from Radioactive Fallout
Created when a nuclear plant is damaged or a nuclear weapon detonates, radioactive dust and/or ash can be very damaging to your thyroid gland.

Taking iodine before – and even just after – a nuclear event, keeps you from absorbing the fallout into your thyroid.

If you’re Iodine Deficient, here’s what may happen…

Hypothyroidism
That makes you feel very sluggish and gain weight easily.

Fibrocystic Breast Disease
Painful breasts with nodules and cysts that often hurt more prior to menstruating.
93% of American women have Fibrocystic Breast Disease, and the longer the deficiency persists, the higher the risk of breast cancer.

Polycystic Ovarian Disease
Iodine is needed in the ovaries, and Russian studies showed a relationship between iodine deficiency and the presence of cysts in the ovaries. The greater the iodine deficiency, the more ovarian cysts a woman produces.

Prostate Problems for Men
Long term iodine deficiency can manifest as prostate problems – either enlargement or cancer or both.

Dry Eyes, Mouth and Skin
Iodine is concentrated in the lacrymal glands of the eye, and submandibular glands of the mouth, and a lack of it can cause dryness. 20% of all your iodine is stored in your sweat glands, and a lack of iodine can manifest as dry skin, and a decreased ability to sweat.

Goiter
Really low iodine levels in the thyroid end up as a Goiter – enlargement of the thyroid.

Cancer
Extended iodine deficiency contributes heavily to our recent epidemic cancers of breasts, ovaries and prostates.  Areas of the world where iodine deficiency is high (Switzerland, parts of Asia and Africa) have high incidence of thyroid cancer.
Iodine can also be concentrated in stomach tissue, and a deficiency there manifests as achlorhydria (lack of digestive acid production).  Prolonged deficiency causes a much higher incidence of stomach cancer.

Impaired Physical and Mental Development
In infants and children, hypothyroidism can impair physical and mental development.

It’s Iodine, Baby!

This is a repost from BeautifulDreamer

http://www.squidoo.com/iodinehealth

Are you tired, run-down, listless?

Do you poop out at parties?
Are you unpopular?
The answer to all your problems is in this little bottle: IODINE.

This lens is about iodine and other ways of feeding and keeping your thyroid and other glands happy. Since starting iodine myself, I've discovered that I'm actually awake when I wake up in the mornings, not to mention getting things done around the house I formerly had no patience or energy for!

I recently started on potassium iodide and within a day or so, I became restless and took all the cans out of my kitchen cabinet. Some of them had been there for years! When my husband came home, he said, "What happened?" I threw out three loads of cans and organized the rest.

A couple of days after that, I became dissatisfied with the refrigerator. It was time to clean! I took everything out and when my daughter came home, she said, "What happened?"

The next day I scrubbed another part of the fridge and continued to freak out my family. Then I tackled the stack of papers I'd been avoiding.

"Are you on crack?" my husband asked, laughing.

"No," I said, "It's iodine, baby!"

Round Up the Usual Suspects

Recognize any of these, like Brain Fog?

Below is a list of common symptoms of low thyroid or hypothyroidism:

Fatigue and weakness
Low basal temperature (cold intolerance)
Dry and coarse skin
Hair loss
Cold hands and feet
Weight gain
Insomnia
Constipation
Depression
Poor memory, forgetfulness, dementia
Nervousness and tremors
Immune system problems
Heavy menstrual periods, polycystic ovaries
Prostate cysts
Fibromyalgia
Fibrocystic breast disease
"Brain fog"
Insulin resistance, diabetes
Fatty liver
High cholesterol
Poor cognition or cretinism in children
And more, unfortunately

Introducing the Halogen Family

(A slightly dysfunctional family at that!)

Here are the four largest halogens and their relative atomic weights:

Fluorine . . . . . . . . 19
Chlorine . . . . . . . . 35.5
Bromine . . . . . . . . 80
Iodine . . . . . . . . .127

Halogens with a lower atomic weight displace those with a higher atomic weight, but not vice-versa. So while bromine can displace iodine, bromine can't displace chlorine. But fluorine, chlorine, and bromine can ALL displace iodine!

Think about it . . . do you drink or shower in chlorinated water? And does your community add fluoride to your water? Do you ever eat white bread products? Eat a lot of table salt? Drink supermarket milk? How about swim in pools or spas?

These all matter because they're sources of iodine-displacing halogens. Table salt is sodium chloride, so just eating fast food with its high sodium content can do it! Swimming pools and spas are usually treated with chlorine for their sanitizer, and sometimes also bromine. Decades past, iodine was used as a dough conditioner, but now bromine as taken its place, as well as is used to bleach wheat flour that blinding white color. Bromine is also hiding in many soft drinks, such as Gatorade and Mountain Dew - look for "brominated vegetable oil" on the label. Iodine was once used to sanitize cows' udders, but now bromine is used commercially. And fluoride is hard to avoid, unless you deliberately choose toothpaste without fluoride or drink water filtered to remove it.

This is just one reason many are iodine deficient, because these other displacing halogens have been knocking their iodine brother out of the picture.

So What Do Halogens Have to Do with the Thyroid?

They can make for a chunkier neck!

Two-thirds of the body's iodine is found in the thyroid gland. Iodine is found in every cell in the body and the thyroid is only one of the organs in the body that stores iodine. Iodine is used by every hormone receptor in the body. The absence of iodine causes a hormonal dysfunction that can be seen with practically every hormone inside the body, all of which interact with the thyroid.

So as you see, if the more toxic halides are knocking the iodine out of your system, your entire body suffers, but especially the thyroid.

The woman pictured above could use some iodine supplementation and a little thyroid TLC.

Filter Halogens from Your Water

A fluoride filter will generally also filter out chlorine and bromine - a nice thing for the thyroid!

Where Do I Find Iodine?

Enjoy Iodine-Rich Foods

Good Dietary Sources of Iodine:

Seaweed (like nori, used to wrap sushi rolls)
Kelp or dulse powder
Unrefined sea salts, iodized sea salt
Deep-water fish (wild caught is safer for you)
Shellfish
Fish sauce (used in Thai cooking)
Eggs (the yolks contain the iodine here)
Real butter
Turkey

Some of the less common foods on this list you may find in a health food store or an Asian market - both are fun places to shop! I once took my children to a Japanese market and there was an entire aisle devoted to the various seaweeds. My girls took home different flavors of nori, including teriyaki, some wrapped in individual portions! Kids actually enjoy nori and my daughter's friends at school would beg her for some.

The following may be good sources of iodine, IF the soil they are grown in is rich in iodine:

Baked potato (with the peel)
Navy beans
Radishes
Asparagus
Carrots
Tomatoes
Spinach and other greens
Rhubarb
Peas
Strawberries
Mushrooms
Lettuce
Bananas
Onions

Try to get organic produce as there is a better chance of the soils having been enriched. You also may be able to taste the difference!

And while coconut is not rich in iodine, it does feed the thyroid! I use expeller-pressed coconut oil because it is odorless and flavorless (the rest of my family is not hep on coconut like I am). But those who enjoy the flavor of coconut can use the "extra-virgin" variety of coconut oil. And don't forget shredded coconut, and now coconut flour, which is a gluten-free flour.

But beware, there are foods that are unfriendly to the thyroid because they block the uptake of iodine! Check it out!

Avoid Goitrogenic Foods

Goitrogenic foods block iodine absorption. Enjoy in moderation:

Kale, cabbage, peanuts, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, and turnips. (Yeah, I know, limiting the Brussels sprouts is going to be hard!)

COMPLETELY AVOID ALL SOY PRODUCTS!

Not only is soy highly goitrogenic, it's also estrogenic! I avoid it like the plague. So unless you ladies really want extra estrogen or guys want less testosterone, forget it.

Actual Iodine Supplementation

It gets stronger as the list gets longer
Dulse tablets or powder
Kelp tablets or powder
Liquid iodine, such as Lugol's solution, Iosol, or nascent iodine
Iodine tablets, such as potassium iodide
Glandular bovine or porcine thyroid supplements

But how do you know if you need a supplement? This part is up to you! Do you see your neck a big pudgier than before? Do you have any of the symptoms listed in the first section? Below I'll give you a couple of free to inexpensive tests you can do at home to see if iodine supplementation may help you.

Note: Do NOT take tincture of iodine orally! It can be used as an antiseptic for external first aid, but please don't swallow it!

A Word About L-Tyrosine

Tyrosine is an amino acid that helps the body utilize iodine. It's found in diary products, lima beans, bananas, almonds, sesame seeds, poultry, and fish.

If you want to supplement with this amino acid, take L-tyrosine on an empty stomach with water or juice 30 minutes before a meal. It is most effective taken with 25-mg of Vitamin B6. Do not take L-tyrosine with proteins such as milk or with any other amino acids, because the other amino acids would compete with the L-tyrosine. Ask your doctor if you should supplement.

Consider the Thyroid-Adrenal Axis

It'll keep you from burning your adrenals out . . .

The thyroid and all the other endocrine glands affect one other. If you feel you may have chronic fatigue or other symptoms of adrenal fatigue, it would be a good idea to feed your adrenal glands as you feed your thyroid, because if you only pep up the thyroid, you could burn out your adrenals!

If you'd like to feed your adrenals, make sure you're getting enough good-quality protein. (If you're a vegetarian, make sure to combine your proteins so the amino acids dovetail in the same meal.)

Vitamin C concentrates in the adrenals, so get a good vitamin C product with amla or rosehips, as too much plain ascorbic acid can be hard on the adrenals!

You can also supplement with freeze-dried glandular adrenals from bovine sources. I like the kind from New Zealand.

B vitamins are also important in supporting the adrenals; brewer's yeast tablets are a simple way to get extra Bs without paying an arm and a leg!

Avoid stimulants, like tobacco, caffeinated beverages and energy drinks, and too much sugar (yeah, I know, between losing the Brussels sprouts and now your coffee, I'm really on your list).

And make sure you get enough sleep! It is healing.

Excess Iodine is Rare, But . . .

A few people break out in pimples from too much iodine, too fast! If this happens to you, cut back on your iodine supplement or go off of it for a few days before resuming, because what is happening is a detox reaction. It's actually helping to get heavy metals like lead and mercury out of your system.

If you really want to lose any excess iodine sooner, eat some white bread, drink some fluorinated water, drink some Gatorade . . . you get the picture.

NOTE FROM ME: I DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT THAT THEY POSTED ABOVE:"If you really want to lose any excess iodine sooner, eat some white bread, drink some fluorinated water, drink some Gatorade . . . you get the picture."
DO NOT DO THAT! Eat some raw broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, etc... instead.

A Simple Iodine Deficiency Test

Guess Which Twin is Deficient?

According to Bruce Fife, N.D. in "Eat Fat, Look Thin," you can perform this simple test at home to see if you are iodine-deficient:

Paint a 1" diameter area of 2% iodine solution (like Lugol's, sold in most drug stores, or Amazon, in this lens) on your skin where it won't show. If you are getting enough iodine, the red stain will remain for about 24 hours. If it disappears sooner, your body is deficient and is absorbing the iodine. The more deficient you are, the more quickly it will disappear.

Online Iodine

And no sales tax, either!

You can get any variety of iodine products from Amazon at great prices - and perhaps no shipping!

The Basal Body Temperature Test

As originated by endocrinologist Dr. Broda Barnes

Take your early morning body temperature two days in a row. The night before the test, shake down a thermometer - be sure that it is shaken down and below 95 degrees.

On awakening the next morning, put the thermometer under your arm with the bulb in the armpit with no clothing between it and your armpit. Leave it there for 10 minutes (use snooze alarm if you wake up to an alarm). Just drowse for that time lying still.

After 10 minutes, take the thermometer out, and read it, writing down the result right away. (On waking, most people don't think clearly and might forget the reading). This is known as your Early AM Basal Temperature, and the "normal" should be between 97.8 and 98.2.

This reading taken by armpit is somewhat lower and somewhat more accurate than by mouth. If you have a low-grade infection this may read higher than your "normal," therefore if it is in that range above, you should repeat the above procedure every other day for a week or so. If you are a menstruating female, also do it on the 2nd and 3rd day of your period.

If your temperature is lower than the range, you are probably hypothyroid, and if higher, then you are probably hyperthyroid or you have an infection somewhere.

This Goes Beyond Iodine Supplementation

Please tell me you'd notice this on yourself!

I once saw a lady at a shopping center with a goiter just a bit bigger than the one in this picture. She should see an endocrinologist for some actual thyroid hormone.

I Think My Thyroid is Messed Up!

Now What Happens?

If you've tried supplementation, or your problem seems greater than can be helped by "over the counter," get help.

Make an appointment with an endocrinologist who is not afraid of prescribing natural thyroid, such as Armour. Mary Shomon has a good resource for doctors in your area.

If you're specifically interested in treatment with Armour thyroid, then click here to find a doctor close to you!

Before you see a doctor, though, it's good to read up on the thyroid prior to your visit. It'll help you to make more informed decisions.

Other Uses for Iodine

As Reported in Earthclinic.com:
Grow stronger nails: Paint the nails with white or colorless iodine daily. The nails become less brittle and grow longer.

Grow hair: Applied white iodine to the scalp to grow hair. There may be a crusty spot, but it will fall off and then small hairs can be seen. Be patient, this is a long process.

Remove skin tags: Apply twice daily. It may take several weeks, but after a while the skin tag will turn black and fall off. (Beats having the doctor burn it off, ow!)

(Regular iodine can be used as well, but this stains the skin and nails.)

Water purification: Iodine destroys bacteria, viruses and cysts, and its action is dependent on its concentration, the water temperature, and duration of contact. Use 8 drops/liter of 2% food-grade iodine, or 4 drops/liter of the 5% liquid iodine. It will destroy all pathogens if left for 10 minutes at 68 degrees. Lower concentrations and lower water temperatures will take longer.

If you add 50 mg of vitamin C powder after adding the iodine, the water is said to be nearly flavorless! Or add lemon or lime juice, but then don't let anything contaminate the water after this. This can also be used in your pet's water to keep it clean (it may also provide your pet with a boost!).

Skin wounds: Liquid potassium iodide, such as in Lugol's solution, is antiseptic. Swab the area of concern with iodine and cover with a bandage. This is also good for burns as it lowers the risk of infection.

Get rid of your headache: Swab one or both wrists with iodine for headache relief.

White Iodine

it's not easy to find!

For the Bomb Shelter

Forewarned is Forearmed!
Some people store high-dose tablets of iodine in case of a nuclear accident, which could cause the release of a radioactive iodine plume into the environment.

Radioactive iodine (I-131) is a by-product of nuclear fission that occurs only within a nuclear reactor or during detonation of a nuclear bomb. What makes radioactive iodine so dangerous is that the body cannot distinguish it from ordinary iodine. As a result, if swallowed (in contaminated food or water), or inhaled (it can remain in the atmosphere for days), it will be absorbed into the thyroid gland and may lead to thyroid cancer, especially in children.

Potassium iodide (KI) tablets were distributed en mass following the Chernobyl nuclear accident just hours after the explosion. In the years following the accident in areas where people received the drug, the incidence of thyroid cancer has not increased. But where potassium iodide was not distributed, previously rare forms of juvenile thyroid cancer have begun appearing at epidemic rates, with over 11,000 known cases. This number continues to rise and is not expected to peak until 2010.

What is interesting to me is that some doctors treat hyperthyroidism the same way - by giving the patient radioactive iodine to destroy the thyroid. One pill is all it takes. Then the patient is dependent upon thyroid medication for life. How sad, when hyperthyroid patients also respond well to iodine supplementation!

Something to think about.
