Prophecies, conspiracies, and endtimes stuff: kodiak241.jesusislord@blogger.com was under attack...

Prophecies, conspiracies, and endtimes stuff: kodiak241.jesusislord@blogger.com was under attack! Change your access data!...: Hello!

As you may have noticed, I sent you an email from your account.
This means that I have full access to your account.

I've been watching you for a few months now. ...

-----

This is happening from some extensions that are data-mining data including passwords, and might install keyloggers. Here's an article about this very thing.

I got a threat too. I ignored the email as this site suggests.

JS (JavaScript) Overlay Hall of Shame

JS Overlay Hall of Shame

Glad to see that I have company of other folks who hate this annoying shit of the interwebs.

Another annoyed individual expressing his frustration over this internet annoyance...

Javascript Overlays Are The Pop-Ups 'De Nous Jours'

“Stop shoving crap in my face, if you want me to stay on your site!”

Just a leetle Overlay. Eet is verra theen! [Image Credit: Rex Features]

Remember the bad old days of the Intarwebs, when we used to all get annoyed about websites that shoved pop-up windows in our faces?

I think, somewhere in the ancient bowels of this blog, I once compared such goings on to; a waiter, unannounced, shoving the wine menu between your fork and the plate you were about to eat from and demanding you give it your attention… “RIGHT NOW!!!”.

It’s that kind of level of ill manners.

Well, thankfully those days are behind us now. Most browsers have the facility to block pop-up windows and, although it’s not 100% fool-proof, it works enough of the time that most websites have given up on pop-ups and, these days, you really only see them on the kind of sites which are the dingleberries on the arsehole of the internet anyway.

So, all’s right with the world now, then?

Well, not quite. For, of late, I’ve noticed that it seems an increasingly annoying number of websites are reviving the ‘delights’ of the old pop-up through Javascript Overlays.

Thanks to AJAX and the innumerable Javascript libraries it spawned, it’s possible to cause an overlay to appear on top of the content of your site, whilst someone is in the middle of reading it. This can be triggered in various ways such as: having the overlay appear after a set amount of time, or having it appear when the user scrolls past a certain point on your page. You’ll notice that, like our fictitious ‘rude waiter’, both of these techniques involve drawing you into the content first, then shoving the metaphorical wine menu between your fork and plate. And, unfortunately, unlike with traditional pop-ups, these insidious overlays are a lot harder to block, without disabling Javascript, which would cripple most of the modern intarwebs.

I’ve got so irked by this of late that I’ve started “voting with my eyeballs” by instantly closing any website which does this to me. It can be a bit of a wrench sometimes –especially if I was in the middle of reading something interesting or informative. But I think we should all start doing this, nonetheless.

If, while poring over their visitor stats, the webmasters of all these sites noticed that every time a page stuck a Javascript Overlay in someone’s face, that person left, they’d soon stop doing it.

And here, in no particular order other than my remembering to screengrab them at the time, is a ‘Hall of Shame’ which I’ve snapped over the past couple of weeks while browsing the web. This represents only a fraction of the annoying overlays I’ve seen during that time. But if any of the webmasters in question are reading this: As soon as you threw these overlays on top of what I was reading, I instantly left your site and took my goldfish attention span elsewhere.

So there!

Email Shit

Well, first it was AOL and now it's Yahoo.

AOL has gotten to the point that MOST of the time, I can't send out emails UNLESS I exit the email in progress and solve a stupid puzzle captcha.  For NO DAMN REASON, and now they are constantly logging me out.

Now Yahoo has put out a thing about a security breach and hacking that supposedly took place 3 years ago.  Seriously? And they just now figured it out?

I smell a stinky rat.  Although I know emails can be hacked and often are, I think it's all bullshit. Because in order to keep using email, they want EVERYONE to put in their mobile phone #.

I don't have a mobile phone, cell phone or Smart Phone, nor do I ever want one!  I think they want a bunch of brand new phone numbers to sell to God only knows who, just to make more money.

DATA MINING! That's what it more than likely is.  When they INSIST and FORCE users to change passwords, give phone numbers, or else, then something is serious amiss.  I'm not buying it.

And for those of you who want to email me?  Well?.... Good luck with that, as now there are TWO emails that are unusable for me. For those that know what my Yahoo one is, just replace the end with the @gmail.com and I should be able to be reached and be able to respond.

That's just the gmail email only, as the Google+ gives me grief and threatens me too, if I G+ too often, no matter what it is. I skip G+ most of my posts here, and only do it once without clicking the popup share thingy.

Other people are pissed off too, as here are some comments copied from various sites off the web about this very thing. Lotsa pissed off peeps!

Message to Yahoo: I'LL CHANGE MY PASSWORD WHEN I BLOODY WELL FEEL LIKE IT, AND I DON'T APPRECIATE THE CURRENT SPAMMY LOOKING METHOD THAT YOU HAVE RESORTED TO FORCING ON US!!!!

--

STOP asking us to change our password. Stop the popuups asking us to update and reload.  I DO NOT want to.  Quit spamming us with email asking us to change passwords.  And get your hands off of our emails and just allow us to simply use email as it should be. Message to Yahoo: I'LL CHANGE MY PASSWORD WHEN I BLOODY WELL FEEL LIKE IT, AND I DON'T APPRECIATE THE CURRENT SPAMMY LOOKING METHOD THAT YOU HAVE RESORTED TO FORCING ON US!!!!

--

Quit asking us to secure accounts by giving a noble phone # I don't have a fucking mobile phone to begin with. Damn data miners.

--

You're playing with gimmicks you want us to get excited over, BUT you don't have a page on Facebook where we can tell you the problems you are causing for us. I see June Shockey posted just above that she wants you to let her back into her account, which you won't do because she didn't want to change her password.

YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO US SENIOR CITIZENS! MANY OF US DO NOT HAVE SMART PHONES, AND YOU'RE TRYING TO FORCE US TO DO YOUR ACCOUNT KEY LOGIN WHICH REQUIRES USING A SMART PHONE. SOME OF US HAVE SMART PHONES BUT =NO= TEXTING. SOME OF US REFUSE TO GO ONLINE USING A SMART PHONE DUE TO HIGH COST FOR THAT. WE'RE ON LIMITED BUDGETS AND MOST ARE NOT COMPUTER SAVY.

PAY ATTENTION!

My husband is willing to change his password, though he thinks the demand is stupid, but if you insist on sending a text to a smart phone, it means you are trying to FORCE him to buy one! THAT IS SHABBY! SHAMEFUL! STUPID! We're over 65 and on a limited budget.

--

Karen Crichton As if your service isn't bad-enough already, you are now holding my emails hostage until I give you my PHONE NUMBER-?! You have NO RIGHT to demand a phone # for an email account (so you call sell it, duh).
I'm calling my Attorney General's office as soon as they open.
Anybody else who's locked-out up-for a class action suit??

--

Sharon Pugh Yahoo announced that 1 billion yahoo accounts have been hacked MINE being one of them. In the video, a yahoo rep talks like it's not a big deal and even subtly passes blame to customers for not continually changing their passwords. I can't access my MAIN email account and have tried everything including buying expensive malware. What are you going to do about it YAHOO???

--

Ashley Erb Doesn't make sense.. you guys wrote that the hacker is taking phone numbers and stuff but to disable our security questions we need a phone number or alternative account. Make sense?

--

Elia Boninsegna Yahoo is insisting wat too much for making me change the password... I don't want to change the password!

--

David Chong yes....force me to change password....then force me to registered my mobile number, then they can stole my information inside my mobile....i try not to registered so many time..and i dont want to change my password at the end i can not log in to my email unless i change my password.....the worst thing is i can not contact yahoo...can not speak to any one or communicate with any one in yahoo......

--

Charles Kelly WHAT THE HELL is wrong with you, Yahoo Mail?!?!?!?!

I can't log in on my new computer because YOU morons are forcing me to change my password!!!!!!

I DO NOT want to change my password!!!!!!!

--

Carlos Martin I can't open my email because yahoo is forcing me to change my password. They suspect i have suspicious activity in my account for no apparent reason. I do not want to change my password, i have been using your services for more than 10 years, and i am a nobody (meaning i don't hold critical information in my email)
Can you guys please give my email back to me?? carlos.martin58@yahoo

--

David Erlandson Contacting the BBB. You block all outgoing mail that has info pertaining to guns, the 2nd Amendment, or Trump! I will also be contacting a lawyer. Anti American, anti freedom, and getting sued again... Way to go yahoo!

--

Daniel Bredeman There is a reason Yahoo is losing to google. Your shitty security and awful customer service is the reason your company will be bankrupt soon. I have a lot of time sensitive emails that I will be able to get into because you of your incompetence. You suck Yahoo, after using your services for well over a decade, I'm finally done. I will enjoy watching the implosion of your second rate tech company.

--

Ed Poe Why is yahoo not doing anything about all of us people who can't access our mail? I deleted my account on 9/25 because I was getting 30-40 pornographic e-mails a day! Last week I tried to reactivate it, and keep getting a message to contact customer care, but there's no possible way to contact anyone! Tried contacting someone through support forums, and am having no luck getting someone to respond! There's 102 pages of people having the exact same problem! Ridiculous! Someone needs to get fired. 20+ years with yahoo mail, and have never experienced so many problems, with no way to e-mail customer care! FIX THIS PROBLEM!

--

Ed Angel I am beginning to hate YAHOO MAIL. i AM FN TIRED OF YAHOO TRYING TO FORCE ME TO CHANGE MY FN PASSWORD !!! i WON'T CHANGE MY PASS WORD, but i will delete yahoo from my computer if they continue to try and force me to change my pass word to secure my account. It is as secure as it needs to fn be.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to FIX Error code: sec_error_revoked_certificate

NOW Firefox is behaving!  It was the last damn straw when I could no longer get into Yahoo Mail.

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to us-mg6.mail.yahoo.com. The OCSP response contains out-of-date information. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_old_response) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Screw this shit!  I fixed it!  Give me a cookie or trophy or something!

My screen is different, but the same principle applies.

So....

For newer versions of Firefox, I did this...

about:preferences#advanced

Advanced
General        DataChoices    Network    Update    Certificates

Requests
When a server requests my personal certificate:

Select on automatically
Ask me every time

UNTICK the BOX next to:  Query OCSP responder server to confirm the current validity of certificates

Click out in new tab to view full sized screenshot.

Errors...

The internet is borked!  EVERYTHING on the internet sucks.  I used to love the internet back in the early days.  And Windows 3.1 was a decent operating system.

NOT anymore!

A CONSTANT Blogger error...

An error occurred while trying to save or publish your post. Please try again. Dismiss

But it's not only this, it's EVERYTHING about the internet.  NOTHING works properly.  NOT a damn thing.  Sometimes it's shitty computer software and other times it's shitty websites and HTML/coding inconsistencies.

Internet Explorer has always been a piece of shit, but now it's worse than shit ever thought about being.  Like viewing blogs in I.E.  Especially any Blogger blog, which is another cloud file service, so no surprise there.  I.E. and its TROLL compatibility view BS.

Firefox used to be good, but not anymore.  It's this never ending unresponding Java Script.  Firefox won't even get to Blogger without hanging or crashing!   And while Google Chrome works better, it still has the side bar ads and links are jumping up and down real fast, like it's on Crack.  I detest Java Script.  Now just about every site uses excess Java Script and excess Flash. Java Script is totally Evil! We are being scripted and flashed to death here!  Give us a break already people!  Clean up your shit sites!

And also YouTube already sucks anymore...

Youtube videos randomly stop playing, or don't play at all ...

http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/ApR7zN1freI

And I know it’s not just I, because a quick Google search yields tons of other people running different software on different machines encountering the same problem. So, if you’re going to reply to this forum saying, “Update your software. Blame your slow ISP. Et cetera,” don’t.

And this has been going on for MONTHS!

And it's ALWAYS blame OUR computers, Update this, change that browser, add a Peeni, or whatever the fuck installation they can come up with... How about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?"  But I guarantee that they'll fix it until it IS broke, and that you can count on.  Sometimes our computers are to blame, but most of the time, it's THEIR faulty shit websites and services.

And how about every other time I want to watch a YouTube video and I get nagged to damn death over name change.  And you can't just hit "I don't want to change my name" and expect it to go away for good.

And it's mostly YouTube, Google Services, and Yahoo services.  The mainstream CLOUD FILE services with all this shit.

Even other things, ad sites, our worksites are screwed...

Clickworker login doesn't work the first time, but does after a second attempt, and that is ALWAYS!

Virus protection is fucked up usually.  What's the sense in having it, if it's defunct?
Button is there when I start out, but hover the mouse and it will disappear!

Button disappeared!

And some page displays are all borked to the umpth degree!

I mean who the hell can even read this shit page?  Seriously?  Are all webmasters now on crack?

And let's say you want to view something or see a document, download a Free offer of a file, etc...  Can't even do that, because you MUST submit your email first, to be put in their mailing list before they'll let you see something, or download that document you want to view.  DATA MINING!

And let's not get me started on what a piece of shit software/operating system Windows 7 is.  All it really is, is a half assed souped up version of Windows Shit Vista!  I always thought XP was the anti-christ, but Windows 7 (& probably 8 too!) is the devil himself!

And how about those sticky keys?  Trouble typing?  You bet!!  And I'm not the only one!

WTF??!!

Sticky keys are not turned on.  I checked.

I did the cntrl+shift+* (the star key or digit 8) which only worked temporarily, and now the problem is back.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/495940/keyboard-stops-typing-text-keys-start-activating-functionsmenus/

And Windows Media Player is so fucked four ways from Sunday now.  It automatically puts a folder.jpg into your music folders, of what IT wants to put in there, even if you put a perfect jpg version of what you want displayed, it will override and some files are displaying wrong art.
http://superuser.com/questions/325488/windows-media-player-12-shows-wrong-cover-art-when-playing

And the worst is a shit internet connection.  Pay $70 a month for a service that don't work most of the time.  Always dropping connection, speed being throttled.  What they are doing is limiting people who want to live in the country and away from the city, is give them shit services for high prices.  They say, if one wants good service, move to the city where cable and DSL is available,  but is never available in the country.  It's TPTB way of attempting to force ALL into the cities.  God forbid if one wants to live in the country.  They'll punish you for it, and make everything as inconvenient as hell.

If didn't have constant work to do online, I wouldn't bother with the internet.  I'm on it for work and staying in touch with family and friends, because NONE of them call.  Ever.

This is not all that I've encountered, but some of it.  You get the gist of the problems the internet now has.  And it's not just us.  It's everywhere and LOTS of people are having the same problems.

The "Spirit of Excellence" has left the building.

Cyber Cafe Privacy Concerns

Dear friends, If you visit a cyber cafe and find any black pin attached to your CPU as shown in the picture, kindly do not use that system. This pin is actually a connection which save all your data you enter in the system.

Thus it is a risk to your privacy over net. Risk to passwords, banking or any data you entered.

It's a hardware keylogger, very powerful that it records each and every action you do in the computer system.

Please *SHARE* this information among your friends and secure them too...
(Thanks to original poster from SYMBIANIZE.COM)

Although I don't understand how it would be on MY computer to begin with, unless the manufacturer originally put it there.
